After the struggle of seeing his mama and sibling family broken apart, Kitty Elmer was determined to make the best of his new life in Golden Valley. He has fond memories of the day he met the two strangers at the Hennepin Co Humane Society. He played with the toys, snuggled on their laps and delivered the perfect interview. It was a meeting that was meant to be.
Elmer’s move to Golden Valley was the beginning learning curve for both sides. Elmer made it very clear who the “alpha cat” was and who the servants would be! He prioritized his love of food, treats, catnip, window time watching nature, romping with toys and being cute all the time! He particularly enjoys his daily AM wake up of the daddies where claws and teeth meet their feet! His easy-going manner demands he be the center of attention, all the time. Elmer translates being told NO, NO, NO into “you are so cute when you’re naughty “. He loves the attentive care at Kenwood Pet but does complain about the poking and prodding. But then quickly forgives when the delicious treats appear!
Elmer has no interest in growing up. He plans to be a forever child, always cute and the center of attention of his parents. Returning love with a purr that melts their hearts.

Dying laughing at the "claws and teeth meet their feet" part! That AM wake up ritual is terrifying and hilarious at the same time! It’s true that you have to prioritize what's important: food, toys, and demanding attention. Being woken up unexpectedly like that must be just as horrifying as being thrown into a super hard Friday Night Funkin song at 4 AM. But he's too cute, so he's completely forgiven!
This month, we’re thrilled to introduce Elmer, a charming Scottish Straight kitten who embodies everything we love about this exceptional breed. With his plush coat, upright ears, and calm, affectionate nature, Elmer is not just adorable more —he’s the perfect blend of elegance and companionship. Raised with care and attention by expert breeders, Elmer is health-checked, socialized, and ready to bring warmth and joy to a loving home. His gentle demeanor makes him an ideal companion for families, singles, or anyone seeking a serene and loving feline friend.
