Pet Clinic Team

We have a knowledgeable and friendly staff with expertise in a number of specialties. Our veterinarians have a special interest in canine and feline medicine, geriatrics and oncology. Our surgeons perform most soft tissue surgeries with an emphasis on orthopedics and advanced dentistry. Our digital radiographs are read by a board-certified radiologist. As a team of veterinarians, we are able to provide comprehensive treatment for a wide variety of both common and rare medical issues for your pet.

Dr. Brittany Borck

Dr. Brittany Borck - Associate

Dr. Borck grew up in Michigan, earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Florida (go gators!), then landed in Minnesota, where she spent 2 years as an AmeriCorps volunteer in Minnesota before deciding to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She received her D.V.M. degree from the University of Minnesota in 2016, and recently wrapped up a yearlong internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Chicago. Dr. Borck loves the variety of patients that she sees and problems that she gets to solve every day as a veterinarian. Some of her favorite areas include feline medicine, ophthalmology, internal medicine, and emergency/critical care.

Dr. Borck has a grumpy old lady cat for a roommate, who enjoys supervising her during her favorite activities: cooking and gardening. She also enjoys road biking (the cat sits that one out), spending time outside in this beautiful state, and while she can't play an instrument if her life depended on it, she loves seeing others perform music.

Dr. Brittany Borck

Dr. Katie Vance - Associate

Dr. Vance is originally from Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota for her undergraduate degree at the University of St. Thomas, followed by veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. She graduated veterinary school in 2016 and has since been working in general practice. Dr. Vance has a passion for internal medicine, as she loves to be able to determine the underlying cause of a patient's illness and subsequently treat the disease. She also has a special interest in soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Vance has a kitty named Addison, who is part cat, part dog and part human. Addison keeps Dr. Vance on her toes between wanting to smother everyone with love and getting into mischief on a daily basis (including stealing French fries from your plate). In her free time Dr. Vance enjoys staying active, going to concerts, dancing, and traveling the world.

Lori Moore

Lori Moore - Lead Technician

Lori has been a part of Kenwood Pet Clinic since 1989 and her interests include surgery and dentistry. She keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at the clinic. Lori is responsible for developing and training the staff in patient care protocol.

Camille

Camille - Certified Veterinary Technician

Camille grew up and still lives in Minneapolis with her husband Steve, and an array of furry and fishy friends. She graduated from Globe College, and has been a veterinary technician since 1999.

In her spare time she enjoys working on furniture and art projects.

Lisa - Veterinary Technician

Lisa, a Twin Cities native, joined Kenwood Pet Clinic in 2016 and has been a veterinary technician since 2011. Her favorite part of being a technician is helping anxious pets feel comfortable so they can have the most pleasant veterinary experience possible.

She lives in Minneapolis with her feline roommate, Olive. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, crocheting and reading.

April

April - Veterinary Assistant

A native of Superior, WI, April started at Kenwood Pet Clinic as a volunteer in 2002, after 3 years in graduate school. She has worked as an assistant since then. Though she's now part time, she loves working with animals and is continuing to learn all she can about their care.

April's other interests include sciences, hiking and outdoor activities, photography and the captive husbandry and breeding of snakes and tarantulas. She enjoys educating the public on these often-misunderstood animals. In her free time, she caters to her 3 cats; Digit, Gatsby, and Porsche.

Malia

Malia - Veterinary Assistant

Malia has been a veterinary assistant at Kenwood Pet Clinic since 2017. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Animal Science, fall 2016. She plans on using this degree to get into vet school.

Malia's life revolves around animals, especially her 2 dogs (Mac and Bailey), 2 horses (Giacomo and R-Dee), and 1 cat (Dash aka "Grey Boy"). When she's not at work, you can find Malia walking dogs with friends, riding horses, and enjoying the outdoors.

Sarah - Veterinary Assistant

Sarah is a veterinary assistant. She moved to Minneapolis from Austin, Texas in the spring of 2016 and couldn't be happier with the decision. Though this is her first job within the discipline of veterinary medicine she has experience volunteering with multiple rescue organizations here and in Texas.

Outside of animals, Sarah's interests include cycling, yoga, birding, and baseball - though she loves the Twins she has to root against them when they play the love of her life, the Houston Astros. Sarah lives in Minneapolis with the other loves of her life - her partner Eddie and their two cats, Gene and Cassie.

Riley - Veterinary Assistant

Riley is a Minnesota native who has lived all over the state but chooses to call the Twin Cities home. She lives with her son, two cats Odette and Frodo, and dog Dougal. In her free time, she loves watching movies with her son and reading books together. Her love of animals began at a very early age and she was often known to bring home strays. Her favorite part of being a vet assistant is connecting with patients and learning everything she can about Veterinary patient care.

Holly

Holly - Veterinary Receptionist

At only four months of age, Holly's love for animals became apparent to her family when she came face to face with a dog for the first time. She instantly began giggling with joy. This encounter was the beginning of a deep, life-long connection with animals that would later lead Holly to her work at Kenwood, where she's been since 2004. She loves having a job that allows her to spend time with all of the four-legged patients and their humans.

When Holly isn't working at Kenwood she can be found traveling, fostering puppies for a local rescue and spending time with Nigel, her beloved English Mastiff.
