Joanne Schulman, DVM, Diplomate ABVP
Dr. Joanne Schulman is the original founder of the Kenwood Pet Clinic in 1978. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and her DVM from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Schulman is certified in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. In order to receive this certification, a veterinarian has to demonstrate advanced knowledge in veterinary medicine, write two publishable papers and pass a 3 part examination. Recertification is required every 10 years to show continued advancement.
Joanne's special interests include oncology and all aspects of feline medicine. She enjoys bicycling and skiing in her spare time. She also enjoys walking around the lake with her dog, Gracie. She is married and has three grown sons.

Craig Turino, DVM
Dr. Craig Turino received his veterinary degree from the University Of Minnesota in 2000. After veterinary school Craig did an internship at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital a large referral hospital in Western Massachusetts. It was an intensive year with heavy emphasizes on two of his main interests - Surgery and Dentistry. Dr. Turino is one of only a few Veterinarians in private practice to be certified to perform TPLO's.
Craig is a native of Wisconsin
and currently lives in St. Paul with his wife, Sarah and their 2
daughters. He has many and varied interests including hiking, camping, hunting and fishing.

Mark Prochaska, DVM
Dr. Mark Prochaska really enjoys life and being a Veterinarian. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Iowa and his veterinary degree from Iowa State University. Mark joined the Kenwood Pet Clinic in 1991 and enjoys all aspects of practice from surgery, echocardiology to root canals. He believes it is important to continue to learn and develop his practice skills.
Mark and his wife Aimee have a daughter, a son and 3 great cats. They hope to get a dog as soon as Annalynne, their daughter, is old enough to ask for one. Mark has a variety of interests including skiing (both cross country and downhill), hiking and trout fly fishing. In the summer his biggest passion is racing his sailboat on Lake Calhoun.

Catherine Alexander, DVM
Dr. Carie Alexander joined the staff at the Kenwood Pet Clinic in 2001. She received her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and her D.V.M. from Colorado State University. Carie’s veterinary interests include internal medicine and acupuncture. She is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Carie is originally from Colorado and moved to Minneapolis from Seattle in 1998 with her family. She is married with 3 children,
2 dogs and 2 cats. A lifelong runner, she now has a year ‘round trainer, her border collie, Ness. Carie has a variety of other interests, including volunteering at her children’s school, gardening, cooking, knitting, hiking and skiing.

Jeffrey Schulman,
DVM
Dr. Jeffrey Schulman recently joined the Kenwood Pet Clinic.
Jeff received his DVM degree from the University of Minnesota.
In veterinary school Jeff
received special recognition for excelling in feline medicine and
surgery and in nutritional care.
He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Wisconsin. Prior to going
into Veterinary School Jeff worked as an engineer for NASA in
Houston.
Jeff and his wife, Dr. Rose Ramirez, live in St.
Paul and have one son, Isaac. They
also share their home with 2 cats. He has a variety of
interest but his 2 biggest hobbies are kite boarding and
gardening.
Jeff is the son of the clinic's senior
veterinarian, Dr. Joanne Schulman.
